Steve Schapiro

Steve Schapiro was born and raised in San Bernardino, California commonly referred to as "Berdoo." While growing up in the North End almost all of his friends rode motorcycles, so his parents were unhappy, but not surprised when he brought his first motorcycle home at the age of 15 in 1963. He bought that bike for $75 and it burned more oil than gas driving it home and since then he has had the thrill of the throttle. Currently Steve owns and rides four motorcycles.

After graduating law school from the University of LaVerne, College of Law in 1978, Steve began practicing as a sole practitioner in Santa Ana, California. He then narrowed his practice to Personal Injury and has handled everything from Slip and Falls, Medical Malpractice, Wrongful Deaths, Construction Accidents to Vehicular Accidents.

Steve has been involved in charitable work from the beginning of his practice. He as received a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his voluntary service to the Domestic Violence Assistance Program wherein Steve helped abused and battered women obtain restraining orders in the Orange County Courts. Steve has also sat on many occasions as a judge of pro tempore in the Orange County Courts.

In 1997, a dear friend of Steve's, Rip, started Rip's B.A.D. Ride (Bikers Against Diabetes) with his assistance. They began working with the American Diabetes Association raising money and awareness. Steve was the original Chairman of this event and continued in this capacity until the event went nationwide. He has been promoted and continued to hold the position of National Ambassador to Rip's B.A.D. Ride overseeing and inspiring our efforts across the nation. Through their efforts they have raised millions of dollars on behalf of the American Diabetes Association. Steve would ask all of you to join him in a fight for the cure.
